First things first.
Simple, efficient storage
starts with a simple 1, 2, 3!

  • Label Everything

FIRST, make a complete, careful list of all the items you plan to store.

Yes, it takes a little extra time to make the list, but having a list can save you time and money by making sure your storage space fits your storage needs.

  • Box it Right.

SECOND, make a ‘Packing Priority’ list.

First, identify which items you’ll be packing in boxes, and which items you’ll be stacking without boxing.

Next, determine which items you’ll want to access more frequently – and make sure you store those items closest to the front of your unit.

Lastly, determine which items can be stored on the bottom (heavier, more durable items) and which ones can be stacked on top – keeping your most fragile items on top.

  • Wrap it Up.

THIRD, make a quick ‘Storage Map’ of your storage unit.

Knowing exactly where you packed each of your items and where that item is in your storage unit is very important. Having quick access to your items is made easy by having a pencil-drawn ‘map’ of where your items are located in your unit. Your ‘storage map’ will be a time-saver for sure!
